Job Details
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Experience with Sage 100/300 Experience preparing draws 5+ years of accounting experience with at least 3 years supporting commercial real estate development, construction, or project accounting. Strong understanding of development accounting, job cost accounting, construction draws, and project financial reporting. Experience managing project budgets, forecasting, cost tracking, and variance analysis. Prepare and review monthly project financial statements, balance sheet reconciliations, and supporting schedules. Manage project billing, lender draw requests, capital expenditures, retainage, and cash flow reporting. Coordinate with project managers, developers, and construction teams to ensure accurate project cost reporting. Monitor project budgets and assist leadership with financial forecasting and decision-making. Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes. Assist with external audits, lender reporting, and investor reporting requirements. Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies. Experience with ERP or accounting software such as Yardi, MRI, Timberline/Sage 300 CRE, Viewpoint, or similar systems is preferred. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including PivotTables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and financial modeling. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail. Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across accounting, development, and construction teams. Ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
