Data Center Project Manager

TRC Talent Solutions is partnering with a rapidly growing data center development and construction firm that delivers end-to-end infrastructure solutions, including turnkey development, construction, and 24/7 facilities management. This role sits within the Development group supporting high-impact, mission-critical data center projects.

Summary

This Project Manager role supports senior leadership in delivering data center construction projects safely, on time, and within budget. The position spans full lifecycle project management, including design coordination, construction oversight, budget control, scheduling, vendor management, and documentation. The role is heavily focused on data center execution standards, including uptime requirements, operational readiness, and strict cost and schedule control.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary point of contact for project documentation, file transfers, and vendor communication

• Maintain contract records, project documentation, and generate reporting as required

• Draft, prepare, and review external project correspondence and documentation

• Maintain internal project filing systems and document control structures

• Support development coordinators with coding, routing, and document preparation

• Review and manage DocuSign and electronic approval workflows

• Build and maintain master project schedules and enforce vendor accountability

• Set up project budgets, vendor records, billing structures, and cost tracking systems

• Track contracts, manage change orders, and develop cash flow projections

• Oversee monthly invoicing, pay applications, lien waivers, and schedules of value

• Manage vendor contracts in alignment with project budgets and billing terms

• Maintain change management logs, project files, and audit-ready documentation

• Produce executive-level monthly project reporting

• Support procurement of general contractors, consultants, commissioning agents, and design teams

• Collaborate with finance, procurement, legal, and accounting teams to maintain alignment

• Support design oversight to ensure compliance with lease requirements and uptime standards

• Travel frequently as required by project demands

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

• Minimum 1+ year experience with a major general contractor

• Prior data center construction experience required

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Project, Excel, PowerPoint, and PDF tools

• Experience with CAD or Visio preferred

• Strong understanding of construction project financials and documentation

• Ability to manage schedules, budgets, and vendor performance simultaneously

• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work onsite full-time in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment
